Re: Windows 7my brief experiences with it says I shall upgrade to 7 with a new pc, but untill then stick with XP Pro myself until then. As with any new generation of operating system they tend to get a little more resource hungry than the one before. I shall be completely skipping Vista with all the problems I've heard from others and also experienced with family laptops that have Vista. However it would appear that most of those bugs and annoyances of Vista have been wiped out or brought under control with 7 and for that I shall go down that road eventually.
I'll have to explain a little more another time, but I hope that gives you a start as to where I'm coming from.... BIZ.

works fine and seems to be bug free from what I can tell The starter edition is cut down and a bit limited it has lots of wizard type things supposed to make things easier ie networking but to be honest, i prefer knowing what the settings are rather than letting Microsoft decide whats good for me visually it has some nice looks But as Bizarre said, I will stick with good ol' trusted XP Pro for now where I know whats what and my PC can easily cope Although, if I was buying a new PC and it came pre installed, I would probably keep it.. it does annoy me though with all the new operating systems, they try to make things easier but in doing that they take away a lot of the useful stuff that we know and trust I wonder what googles attempt will be like, and if its any good, would it play games designed for the Pc or would it be like having a MAC lol

One of my clients had her laptop upgraded from Vista to 7 and it definitely seams to run more quickly and smoothly. Setting up her VPN was not so painful but like you guys I prefer to see and adjust the settings personally not through a Wizard!
I will probably wait until we upgrade to a new desktop for Sofia before we go down the W7 route. Tanx TargetP ![]() ![]()
